Brief: Commissioned to film in the Amazon region, focusing on Kayapó communities and the environmental context. Worked closely with local partners to plan respectful, low‑impact field production.
My role: – DP and fixer; cultural and logistical coordination. Managed power and data redundancy; protected optics/sensors; planned around weather and light.
Outcome/impact: Delivered authentic visual narratives and natural sound beds supporting documentary storytelling for broadcast and digital channels.
Locations & logistics: Remote travel via road/river/air; permits and local liaison; safety and gear protection in heat/humidity. Lightweight field package for remote access; sync sound interviews and ambient sound.
Crew & kit: Minimal crew; camera with robust power management; weather protection; portable audio kit; portable light.
Challenges & solutions: – Access & trust: Scheduled ample time with local contacts; prioritized consent and comfort; used a smaller footprint.
