Brief: Coverage of Olympic sailing competitions during Rio 2016. Coordinated fast‑moving schedules and access across venues.
My role: Camera operator/DP; quick‑turn ENG + feature pieces, and bilingual interfacing with international teams.
Gear kit: ENG/cinema hybrid kit for mobility; wireless audio; compact lighting for interviews; backup bodies and media for redundancy.
Challenges & solutions: Extreme duty cycle, 15 hours/day, 7 days/week, tight windows, moving between venues. Security & timing; pre‑cleared routes and backups; lean kit to move quickly between slots. Matched camera profiles and frame rates to client specs.
Outcome/impact: Delivered timely coverage and polished features used by international clients during and after the Games.
